The Certificate in Indian Communication Arts is a two-year, 72-credit-hour program of studies offered through the First Nations University of Canada’s Department of Indian Communication Arts.
INCA courses help students:
- understand Indian societies, past and present
- focus on communication issues of relevance to Aboriginal peoples
- study and reflect on the role of communication in Indian and other societies
- master basic writing skills and reporting techniques
- learn the logistics of managing and operating community-based media outlets
- explore alternative and appropriate uses of mass communication technology
