Reorganization at First Nations University of Canada
Interim President Shauneen Pete and Board Chair Joely BigEagle today announced a restructuring at the First Nations University of Canada, aimed at accomplishing approximately $3 million in savings that will enable the University to address its ongoing structural deficit aligning the college’s expenses to its funding and revenue sources. These changes are being done prior to the start of the 2010 fall semester.
Throughout these extremely difficult times for FNUniv, our students have emerged as formidable leaders, outspoken advocates for, and champions of, the University, working to secure funding and to establish a legacy leadership. Our first concern, during the review and reorganization process as always, is for those students who are currently enrolled with us, and for those who come after them.
