Mission Statement
The mission of the First Nations University of Canada, Northern Campus is to increase Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal access to university degrees, diplomas, and certificate courses, as well as, to preserve, protect, and interpret the history, language, cultural and artistic heritage of First Nations people.
Northern Campus, Department of Community Development & Health Sciences Mandate
The First Nations University of Canada mission statement is pursued by the Northern Campus through its commitment to expand its off-campus programming in order to enhance First Nations access to university degrees, diplomas, and certificate courses and programs throughout Saskatchewan, across Canada and internationally. Access is pursued through coordinating and delivering courses and programs in collaboration with First Nations communities, providing expertise and leadership in adult and continuing education; implementing programs as requested by the First Nations communities; encouraging and conducting research in the field of multi-lingual and multi-cultural education; and utilizing appropriate University and other resources.
The Northern Campus offers a wide range of university programs and courses in Arts and Science, Administration, Human Justice, Nursing, Social Work, Education, Dental Therapy and more. We also coordinate delivery of our community-based programs across Saskatchewan and Canada.
