**Interim President Shauneen Pete and Board Chair Joely BigEagle announced August 19, 2010 a restructuring at the First Nations University of Canada,
aimed at accomplishing approximately $3 million in savings that will enable the University to address its ongoing structural deficit aligning the college’s expenses to its funding and revenue sources. Nursing Education Program of Saskatchewan (NEPS)
***NEXT INTAKE OCTOBER 1, 2010 - JANUARY 15, 2011***
In Prince Albert, the nursing courses for all four years are held at the Northern Campus of the First Nations University of Canada. Year one and two year of the program are administered by the First Nations University of Canada and year three and four by the University of Saskatchewan. Non-nursing courses are offered by the First Nations University of Canada and the University of Saskatchewan.
In Saskatoon, students take courses at Kelsey Campus for the first two years of the program and the University of Saskatchewan for the second two years.
In Regina, all nursing courses are held at Wascana Campus. Non-nursing courses are accessed at the University of Regina where you will be classified as a visiting University of Saskatchewan student.
Your clinical practice will occur in various locations throughout the province.
FACTS
· Four-year program: part-time study is an option.
· All courses must be completed with seven years of commencing the program.
· Graduates of the program are eligible to apply for licensure with the Saskatchewan Nurses'
Association (SRNA) and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurses Association of Saskatchewan (RPNAS).
